What do you do for dry, cracked heels? - dry cracked heels

During the summer I never had my shoes off and put my heels are very dry and cracked. The cracks are so deep they bleed and badly injured. I have tried different lotions, but I like the socks, not to make it really work. Anything that can help it? Or a lotion that works well for this?
